My pet friends
Pets can be pretty amazing, even when you don’t have a camera around, and getting photos of it can be pretty tough. Here a few shots from my camera phone of some of the animals I know and love

Sorry for the long wait folks! I’m excited to begin working with this site more to give you more frequent and enjoyable updates! These are photos shot on the Rhode Island College campus- I was experimenting with long exposures with the Nikon D70s, which I found out isn’t great for that purpose. In any case I am very happy with the outcome.

I’ll be entering three of the following images into a photography contest. This will be my first entrance into one. If I win I get $2,000 and a Nikon D90! If I lose…Well that’s not gonna happen. No matter what this is a win, I get recognition and experience in contests. Please let me know what your favorites are and enjoy!

Let me know which ones you think are winners! and wish me luck- I don’t own my own camera yet, it would be more convenient if I did. Thanks =)
Just a few more pictures of wildlife. I have a new aim though–photographing the wild side of humanity, our urban centers. I’ll still shoot photos of wildlife, can’t get enough of that, but I’m going to work on diversifying my work.

I shot these photos with a Nikon D70s with a 18-70 mm lens. I practically stepped on this bird while I was running to meet a professor so I could make up a quiz. It was just walking along the ground, I think it may have had a hurt wing. I took some photos up close and personal before rushing off again.

It’s an older camera but it does the job, just because there’s a newer technology out there doesn’t mean the older stuff doesn’t still work– That’s something I’ve learned recently. I think you can tell from the photographs.

Let me know what you think of the photos. It’s fun to try things I haven’t thought of before so help me think! =) Thanks for visiting- I hope you enjoyed it!
Well it certainly has been awhile! I’m sorry to those of you who frequent this page in the hope of new content. The semester has just begun and things are a little hectic , the good news is that I’ll be continuing to drive to New Hampshire every weekend and that always means more photos!
Please Enjoy =)
Not sure what it but these little guys just seem to pose for me

The Holy Ghost Church is near a friends house in Rhode Island, I was on my way to New Hampshire when I decided it was time to finally get a shot of this beautiful building.

It had been a few hours since the previous shot and I was in Worcester, Massachusetts and was passing the city when I saw this shot. I pulled over on the highway and had some fun.

This shot was about a half-hour after Worcester. I was on RT 140 heading North, I pulled off the road before an exit and took this.

The next day I was in New Hampshire and I had just finished working, I had been painting a women’s house. I’ve always wanted to get a decent photo of Mount Manadnock, which I’m told means the Mountain that stands alone in Native American. At one point it was the most climbed mountain in the world, I believe it’s still in the top 3-5.

After taking some pictures of Mt. Monadnock I decided to walk the Wheeler Trail which is a trail that’s kept up by the towns conservation commission. It’s very short but it’s a great place to go for a picnic, although I went more during horror movie time, kinda looks scary.

Dramatic affect that I did by zooming out very quickly as I took the shot, while pulling my arms back at the same time. ACTION!

This is the same affect but done shooting upwards into the canopy of the trees.

I returned to Monadnock for the sunset and it was very dramatic, I think I’m going to have some fun with it this Fall!
Please let me know what you think! You don’t even have to be a member of this site or use a real name! I really do appreciate honest feedback, good or bad, because it helps me to grow as an artist and potential professional! Thanks for visiting my blog =) I hope you enjoyed and and will come back, tell your friends!
Have a good one!!!
These are some photos from the college. I took them when ever I notice a bike, not sure why but they kind of drew me in. I’m not a rider but I know plenty of people are and will appreciate these. Thanks for visiting!

While driving my aunt on some errands last week we passed by some old and interesting mill buildings. The buildings resembled something European with a clock tower that looked more like a castle. I was told that they had been converted into apartments and that people now lived there. I made a note to come back soon. The weather yesterday couldn’t have been better and I had made a commitment to drive the 30 minute commute for the pictures. I received a phone call from my mom saying it was my aunt’s birthday so I decided it would be nice if I bought her a card and dropped it off on the way.
She was surprised and delighted to see me and so I invited her to come with me. She did and we had a wonderful time taking pictures.

The trees and their reflections in the water interested me. There is a lot going on in this and it’s hard not to get lost in it. The lighting was perfect for this shot.
The image above is of the clock tower that I mentioned before. There is another view of it from the street side of the building but the American flag cast against the sky really drew me in.

You can see why the building was so interesting to me initially simply because of its location on the river and the stone architecture. The building was renovated and repaired to accommodate apartments.
This was the reason I really went. I wanted to get a decent shot from the base of this smokestack looking up. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

My aunt pointed through the trees and exclaimed how pretty it looked, I agreed and I took the photo. I envy the people living in these apartments, right on the water.

If you’ve seen my other posts you’ll know this is a familiar shot for me. I like shooting up the trunk of the tree because it creates wonderful depth of field, contrast and it leads your eye throughout the photo easily.

This is a scenic path route. Walkers only. I didn’t have a chance to go the entire way but I think I’ll return in the fall for more shots and maybe an expedition of this trail. It looked quite long.

It would have been nice to have a wide angle lens so I could get the scope of this place. It’s quite large and this photo doesn’t quite capture it, but it gives you an idea. I spoke with some people on the bridge that is in the right foreground of the photo and they were telling us about what it was like to live there. They said they really liked it but that every now and then old nails pop up in the floor boards, through the varnish, and that it’s dangerous. suppose nothing is perfect but it looks pretty good to me anyway.
Thanks for taking the time to view my blog =) If you have the time please let me know what you think by commenting on this post. You don’t even have to be a member of this site! Thanks a ton and have a good one!
I’ve been busy lately and haven’t been able to keep the content updated as much as I’d like, I apologize to those of you who have been returning frequently for content that hasn’t been there. But I guess they say better late then never and this post really exemplifies that.
I had been looking for content and having missed the perfect opportunity earlier in the day due to an equipment problem I was really itching for something to photograph. I didn’t think it would find me first.
I was in New Hampshire again this past weekend for work as usual. During the evenings I like to spend time with my friends, we were all going to go to the movies to see Inglorious Bastards by Quitin Tarentino (It was great by the way). It had been lousy weather, it rained for about two hours; I found out the next day it had rained between 4-5 inches in that time. I was about a mile down the road from my house, on the way to pick up my friend Travis. I had gone through two large puddles that covered the road without incident, it was in the middle of third charming one that I realized my car wasn’t going to make it.
Halfway through the water was over a foot deep, I was very lucky the road wasn’t eroded below the surface! My car died and was stuck. The other cars behind me were far enough back to have learned from my mistake and they stopped. I looked left and what I saw was a waterfall, cascading over what had once been the embankment of the road. I realized I had to get help fast or I might lose my precious 1996 Subaru Legacy!

The emergency people arrived about 5 minutes after I had gotten out. As I am quoted in the Union Leader Newspaper “a man in a truck pulled me out with a rope.” This has caused some confusion as people are approaching my father and asking if I’m OK. The paper made it sound like “I” was pulled out, when rather it was my car, which was merely stuck. I was running from house to house asking people if they had any ropes or chain, but nobody did. A man who had seen me get stuck and had immediately stopped to help was the one who finally produced a small rope which he doubled up and I tied to the bottom of my car. I steered as he used his truck to pull my flooded wreck from the inundated highway.

You can see how deep it was from the picture above. Large trucks could make it through but I wouldn’t have suggested that they try, by this point the road could have been gone beneath the surface.
The emergency crews had to close many roads off for the evening because there was so much damage. On another main road that intersects with the one above There had been a landslide and half the road was inaccessible. I passed it that evening but the police wouldn’t let me stop to take pictures. I suppose I could have but it wouldn’t have been worth arguing with the officer.

The aftermath of this weekends rainstorms is still being resolved. State crews are still having to keep roads closed so they can work on them. You can see how extensive the damage was from the pictures below. I was driving home the next day and I parked my car and was able to take pictures for about 10 minutes before traffic began to move again.
It was the worst flooding I’ve seen on this road and the most traffic, I beleive that people just wanted to get out and see the damage after reading about it in the paper.

As I parked my car a state vehicle tring to back up drove off the curb of the road and became stuck. It was rather funny seeing it all happen. I took some pictures for you to see it as well. They used a tractor to pull it out.

After seeing the site where my car had almost been washed away I drove further up the road to see some of the other washout. They had one man on a tractor fixing about 50 yards of the road. I returned later though and there were more workers there. The damage was much more extensive then I had initially thought most of the embankments were completely gone and many driveways were completely ruined.
