Esther and Dave’s shoot continued…

Here are even more! These are another batch from our shoot earlier this month. I have one more batch coming up before it’s completed. Then most likely another shoot.

More pics from the shoot. More to come.

Let us know what you think. Doing these shoots is a lot of fun- but it really does take a lot of effort on everyone’s part, and getting feedback and knowing what our readers think is what make us want to work so hard to do it.

Thanks for checking this out!

David and Esther – Spring time artsy

Thank you to Esther and David for participating in this photos shoot. It was David’s first one and he did a great job. I shot it using primarily my Canon 10d with my wide-angle, and experimented for the first time with my new (really old) Olympus Zuiko 65-200 mm.

New York City Fun

The Rhode Island College student-run newspaper, The Anchor, visited NYC during their Spring break for the annual CMA Conference. As an editorial board member of the paper I took part and spent a lot of my time in the city just taking pics of everything. The only negative during the trip was when I realized the drawback to not having a full-frame camera, and when I learned that my camera needed a firmware update that I couldn’t get.

The firmware hassle stopped me from uploading my pics and therefore from formatting my card, so I couldn’t take pics. I made the trip to a camera store, which in NYC is never too far away, and bought a universal card reader for $40…The man who sold it to me was a cheap skate, and I knew it at the time but thought even though I was getting ripped off it was worth it for the pics of the city.
He told me he’d sell it to me for $69 but I told him I just didn’t have the money – that’s when he lowered it. Anyway it’s a classic example of supply and demand.

New York was a ton of fun and I hope you enjoy the pictures I took while I was there. Please leave feedback when possible as it assures me that people are viewing and taking an interest in my photography!
